Terms & Conditions

Note that all tuition is carried out remotely via Skype.

By agreeing to tuition you accept the following conditions:

Tuition fees - The fee is payable on the day of a tuition session. See Enrolment & Fees on my website for my current fee structure.

Session duration – A standard session lasts for 1 hour. If a parent wishes to discuss any aspect of their child’s learning, they are most welcome to do so at the beginning of the hour or by joining the session 5-10 minutes before the hour ends. I allow 15 minutes between sessions for preparation of work and materials so that everything is ready for the next tutee.

Timing of sessions - This is important and tutees/parents are asked to be as prompt as possible with regard to attending sessions. If for any reason a tutee joins a session late the session must still end at the scheduled time.

Regular attendance – When a tutee enrols for regular tuition it is expected that they attend each weekly session, including during school holidays, whenever possible. I understand of course that family holidays often fall into these times and would be grateful for notification of holiday dates as early as possible. I will give at least a week’s notice if I am unavailable for tuition during holidays. Where attendance is inconsistent I reserve the right to cancel a tutee’s regular sessions.

Late cancellation - There will be no charge for missed lessons provided that I receive 48 hours notice of the cancellation. Failure to give 48 hours notice will result in the full cost of the missed lesson becoming payable at the time of the next lesson.
